Syndicate: Bloom
You have undoubtedly played a video game with Bloom effect. For those who are unaware, this effect showcases light drastically bleeding through natural borders. When the bloom light was first introduced, gameplay looked incredible but after a few years, developers started to use too much of this effect. A good example of a game which uses of too much of bloom lighting is Syndicate. Gameplay is distracted due to the bright colorful hues which makes the light feel unnatural. Lights within the game shouldn’t bleed out this much and most players agree that this poor implementation of effect was one of the many annoying issues that eventually dragged down the gameplay experience in Syndicate.
