Prince of Persia

The Sands of Time sub-series within the Prince of Persia franchise probably remains the zenith of the series yet. A memorable, time hopping story, and some great heroes and villains, coupled with an excellent re-imagining of the classic prince of Persia gameplay in 3D space, made these the defining games for a generation. The remastered edition is worth getting, because not only will you be able to find an excuse to buy and play the games (again), but you will be able to play all the games in the series in HD. And damn, their art really does look exceptionally pretty in HD.
