Rocksteady's Gaz Deaves asks fans to "be patient", which is certainly asking a lot.

batman return to arkham

Rocksteady has had a storied history with the Batman franchise thanks primarily to its Batman: Arkham series of games. Even if Batman: Arkham Knight didn’t quite surpass Arkham City (not to mention the various issues it encountered on PC at launch), we’re still wondering what’s coming next from the developer. And no, the Batman: Arkham VR game doesn’t count.

We’ve heard rumours of a Superman game and even a title starring Damian Wayne, Bruce Wayne’s actual son, taking the mantle of Batman. None of these have come to fruition but whatever happens, Rocksteady’s marketing game manager Gaz Deaves teased on Twitter that “people are going to lose their minds.”

Deaves obviously wasn’t specific about what people would lose their minds about but what else could it be other than the studio’s next project? Just because it’s from Rocksteady doesn’t mean the actual game will be about Batman. Anyway, as it stands, we’ll have to wait for more information to know for sure so best to settle in for the long haul.
