In a recent interview with Eurogamer, Batman: Arkham Origins producer Guillaume Voghel provided some insider details on the upcoming latest installment in the Batman: Arkham series. Specifically, Guillaume revealed the inclusion of “I Am The Night” mode, which is seemingly the game’s equivalent of your standard hardcore mode, though this may be a little more hardcore than most.
Gamers who dare to play on I Am The Night mode will have to play the entire game through with only one life. Oh yeah, also, you can’t save. That means, one life, one play through. Here’s what Guillaume had to say:
“The main narrative arc and side missions last about 12 hours,” he explained, “and then you have all the collectibles. To get 100 per cent of that will take much, much longer. We have a new difficulty level, New Game Plus is coming pack – that’s really difficult – and when you’re done with that there’s I Am The Night mode – which is no saves and one life.”
Does that feel right up your alley or is the cowl to heavy to bear in this case? Either way, Batman: Arkham Origins releases on October 25th worldwide for Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Wii U.
