Battlefield 1 (3)

Battlefield 1 is one of the most anticipated games of the year, so any new bit of information on it is consumed ravenously by the adoring masses. Today, new information arose on the game’s character customization, via a screenshot shared on Twitter by DANNYonPC. This new screenshot basically shows us the kind of character customization options that will be made available to a player at the beginning of each mission- it looks like the player will get the chance to select a primary weapon, a sidearm, up to two gadgets, a projectile weapon, and a melee weapon.

That’s not all, either- while there has been some controversy over the omission of the French army from the game, DICE’s Julien Wera confirmed that players will meet the French army over the course of the single player, and that the French army will be added to the multiplayer as a playable faction later on as a paid expansion- so everyone, chill and hold your horses. The contributions of the French aren’t going to be just overlooked and suppressed, alright?

Battlefield 1 will be out on Xbox One, PS4, and PC this October.
