Battlefield 1 Is Looking Absolutely Amazing In These New Screens

Frostbite Engine continues to shine.

Battlefield 1

If ever there was an argument for DICE’s Frostbite engine being the best one around, at least when it comes to the quality of graphics that it produces, then the upcoming Battlefield 1 is probably it. That the game looks great should come as no surprise to anybody- DICE have always managed to make hardware sing to their tune. But that it looks this unbelievably good is what continues to astound me, day in and day out.

For instance, consider this new batch of screenshots, which you can see in this tweet. The game just looks stunning- the technology on display is absolutely amazing to behold, yes, but it also helps that the artstyle employed by DICE is uncharacteristically great, too.

I’m not much for graphics myself, personally, but these visuals seem to be accurately capturing and conveying a large scale war, which is of course necessary for any game set in World War 1. Let’s hope the rest of the game lives up to the promise of its graphics, when it launches on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC this October.
