Battlefield 1

Even with problems here and there, like accidentally tagging innocent players as cheaters, the release and subsequent reign of Battlefield 1 has been a successful one. Of course, in this day and age, a game can’t enjoy success for long if it doesn’t adapt and change, and do so quickly.

Earlier this week, the team behind Battlefield 1 seemed to be hinting that there is going to be a pretty massive update coming to the game in the near future. Later it was revealed the update is coming in February. While there aren’t a great deal of details about what the update will bring,  producer Ali Hassoon seemed to tease the update will bring tweaks to systems like medals and progressions.

Later in the same day, he expressly confirmed the game mode, Back to Basics is going to become permanent. Still later, the developers confirmed players will get their first look at the new DLC pack, They Shall Not Pass next week. All of this is good news for fans of the game as it appears DICE and EA aren’t willing to rest on their laurels.
