Chinese streaming site Bilibili seems to have inadvertently leaked the dates for the upcoming shooter's planned open beta.

Battlefield 2042

Battlefield 2042’s recent delay into November may not have been a huge delay, but it’s still raised some questions about what the game’s schedule is looking like in the lead-up to its launch. For instance, a beta was initially planned in September, but given the delay, that, too, has been pushed back to an unannounced date.

While we’re waiting on official word from EA on when the beta will kick off though, it seems Chinese streaming site Bilibili has inadvertently leaked that information. As pointed out by known insider Tom Henderson on Twitter, the site shows October 6 as the date that Battlefield 2042’s beta kicks off. According to Henderson, given the updates to Bilibili and the fact that there is an official account for the game on the site as well, the leaked date is correct.

Of course, in the absence of official confirmation by EA, it’s hard to be too sure about any date, but given the fact that the game is now due out in November, a beta in October would make sense. Either way, we’ll keep you updated, so stay tuned.

Battlefield 2042 launches on November 19 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
