Battlefield 2042

Battlefield 2042 turned out to be a big disappointment in more than a few ways, to the extent that many fans of the series are already waiting on the next instalment to come along and salvage the series. DICE, however, has kept on updating the game with several patches and content additions (while it seems like many more are also on the way), and a frequently requested feature will also be arriving soon.

DICE has confirmed that Battlefield 2042 will be getting All Chat support with its next update, Update 4.1.1, which arrives later this week. Though All Chat will be turned off by default, once turned on, it will allow players to “partake in some friendly chatter” with players on opposing teams. Of course, how friendly it’ll actually be remains to be seen, but it’s a feature that players have been requesting for a while, so its addition should be nice to see.

Battlefield 2042 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Stay tuned for more updates on when Update 4.1.1 goes live.
