DICE has announced that PC players who buy Battlefield 3 from retain will have to download EA’s digital distribution platform Origin, which means that without an Origin account, Battlefield 3 is virtually unplayable, since the game won’t be sold on Steam.
When questioned about the matter on Twitter, DICE community manager Daniel Martos said: “Yes those ‘rumours’ are true .”
