Battlefield 4 Winter Patch Set For March, Players Can Design A Map With DICE

A new outreach scheme might see you designing a map.

Battlefield 4 is a very solid shooter, when it works. It’s true that the game is a little bit buggy, even this long after its horrendous launch, but the game is certainly more stable. With that being said, the levels are a bit lackluster in some regards and that may well be some of the “excellent feedback to improve the game” that DICE have received.

So with that being said, DICE have reached out to the community to help them build a new map for the game. I’m not entirely sure if this is a good way of interacting with the community, or a bad way of saying they need better level designers. But it does at least offer gamers some input into a stage design.

Also coming soon, set to roll out in March, is the Winter patch for the game which is aiming to improve the netcode and soldier collision in the game. They also want to tweak Squad Obliteration too, saying “Our ambition with Squad Obliteration is to create something fast and challenging for the players and an entertaining experience for those who watch the matches.”
