Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Gets New Kit Upgrades & Achievements

Posted By | On 21st, Apr. 2010

Ok, let me start off by saying that the header title might be a little misleading.  I say this because currently it only applies to the Xbox 360 version of Battlefield: Bad Company 2.  Now eventually it should be available to everyone, everywhere, but currently you can only buy the upgrades in Europe and if you live in North America you can redeem Dr.Pepper 20 oz. bottle promotional codes to get you the kits (which conveniently is unavailable at the moment to redeem towards BC2). Everyone will presumably be able to purchase a new kit upgrade for each of the classes for the game eventually.  Each upgrade will run you 160 Microsoft Points and will get you a new player skin for each class as well as a new gun camo for either the M16A2, UMP-45, MG3 or the M95 Sniper.

The game has also added 4 achievements for the Xbox 360 and new pins/insignias.  Here are the additions:

Achievements:
Get all SPECACT Assault awards 15G
Get all SPECACT Engineer awards 15G
Get all SPECACT Medic awards 15G
Get all SPECACT Recon awards 15G

8 new pins:

In a round, kill 8 enemies with the M16 SPECACT.
Reach a killstreak of 5 with the M16 SPECACT

In a round, kill 8 enemies with the UMP SPECACT
Reach a killstreak of 5 with the UMP SPECACT

In a round, kill 8 enemies with the MG3 SPECACT
Reach a killstreak of 5 with the MG3 SPECACT

In a round. kill 8 enemies with the M95 SPECACT
Reach a killstreak of 5 with the M95 SPECACT

4 new Insignias:
100 kills using the Assault SPECACT Kit
100 kills using the Engineer SPECACT Kit
100 kills using the Medic SPECACT Kit
100 kills using the Recon SPECACT Kit

So basically, most of still have to hold out for these additions no matter the platform or location of ourselves anyway.. But keep it here to get informed when it will be available for everyone.  Things might change moments from now or even weeks.
