Battlezone 98 Redux Launching This Spring

Beloved strategy game remaster launches this Spring.

Posted By | On 16th, Feb. 2016

Battlezone 98, often considered to be one of the greatest strategy games ever made, will be getting the full blown remake treatment when Battlezone 98 Redux launches this Spring for PC via Steam. The remaster will retain the game’s first person action, nuanced RTS gameplay, and thoroughly modernize it all with enhanced graphics, online multiplayer, and the potential for near limitless new content with support for Steam Workshop mods.

To ensure Battlezone 98 Redux remained faithful to the original game, which has garnered a fiercely loyal community, Rebellion enlisted the developers at Big Boat Interactive, the studio that includes three developers from the 1998 Battlezone game, who played a key part in keeping the community alive for the last eighteen years.

If you are worried about how the remaster might have turned out, don’t be- Rebellion shared a brand new trailer for the re-release, and it looks like same old Battlezone that everyone fell in love with, back in the day. You can check out this trailer for yourself below.
