DEMON’S SOULS
Unlike FromSoftware’s later Souls games, Demon’s Souls isn’t set in a single, seamless world, opting instead to present players with several large environments all connected by a single hub location. Bluepoint’s remake obviously follows that same structure- but even though it’s not a seamless world, it still impresses with its size. Like any Souls game, Demon’s Souls doesn’t go for vast open environments, instead delivering environments that are still large, but designed in a more winding and interconnected fashion. The size of each of its worlds is still impressive though- individually, but even more so when taken together.
