Like Demon’s Souls, Nioh 2 isn’t an open world game. It follows a mission-based structure and progression. In spite of that, the size of its world is nothing to scoff at. The environments that its missions take place in are usually quite large, often larger than you’d expect, and more often than not, there’s plenty of room for exploration and going off the beaten path. No, it’s not a staggeringly large world in the way that something like, say, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s world is, but viewed on its own merits, its size is still quite large.
