MAFIA: DEFINITIVE EDITION
Mafia has to be one of the most inconsistent high profile franchises around, but this year, it delivered an irrefutably great game- which, appropriately enough, was a remake of its best instalment. Mafia: Definitive Edition’s Lost Heaven is a stunning recreation of the first game’s setting, capturing the tone and atmosphere of the original perfectly, while also tweaking it with slight additions, and radically improving it with pristine visuals. Sure, Mafia isn’t really that much of an open world game, given its linear mission-driven structure, but there’s still the Free Ride mode for players who want to aimlessly drive about and explore its open city.
