DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT
There’s only been about a quintillion Dragon Ball games over the years that retell the story of the Z saga, and yet players keep eating up any new game that does that same thing regardless. With Kakarot, however, the allure was obvious and undeniable, seeing as it offered not only a complete retelling of Dragon Ball Z, but did so in an action RPG set in a massive open world environment. “You get to fly about this massive open world as a Saiyan and do quests and side quests” is an elevator pitch that would win over even the most jaded Dragon Ball fan, and though Kakarot never goes above and beyond what it promises, it at least delivers on the promises it does make very confidently.
