BioMutant (13)

THQ Nordic was earlier publishing the Action RPG Biomutant which is set in a post-apocalyptic open world. Now they have acquired the IP as well as the game’s developer, Experiment 101. This brings up the number of studios THQ Nordic owns in Sweden to four.

Experiment 101 was founded by Stefan Ljungqvist who had previously worked as art director and game director at Avalanche Studios. THQ Nordic plans to turn Biomutant into one of its major franchises following strategies and plans laid out by Ljunqvist himself.

The game itself looks very interesting as it will feature a large and varied game world that players can traverse using a number of different types of vehicles such as a Jetski and a UFO. The game will also feature a fully customizable character who will try to survive in the world making use of crafting, bionics and even physical mutations.

Biomutant is set to release for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One some time in 2018. Hopefully, we’ll get to learn more about the game soon.
