BioMutant (11)

We had earlier reported on how THQ Nordic had acquired the Biomutant IP along with Developer Experiment 101. Now a whole new bunch of screenshots of the game have been released (via PC Gamer). First off, the environments look absolutely beautiful. There’s even a picture of a deadly-looking huge monster, presumably from a boss battle.

The open-world post-apocalyptic game will be a third-person action game with an emphasis on crafting and gameplay that evolves based on what player characters are exposed to in the game world. If a character is exposed to bio-contamination for example, then he/she may develop physical mutations. This system by itself sounds complex and ambitious but we’re also promised an “unusual story”.

The game is still in development and is set to release at some point next year for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
