Biomutant is a game that went into hibernation it seems. For almost a full year, it was all silent, but recently the game has come back into the spotlight with something of a revival that talked in depth about the game’s customization, story, and many other parts. We still don’t have a release date, unfortunately, but we do have an idea of what the plans are for post-launch.

In an interview with Well-Played, Experiment 101 Studio Head Stefan Ljungqvist was asked about DLC. He said that the main focus right now is finishing and releasing the game first and foremost, and that they would then think about post-launch content. But he did confirm that the game won’t have microtransactions, which is sure to make some people happy.

“Our focus is to finish the main game and realise our vision to the quality we want first and foremost – then we hopefully deserve the right to add more content,” he said. “One thing we can say about this though – we’ll definitely not have microtransactions in our game.”

Biomutant is slated to release at some point for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. You can check out nearly 10 minutes of the latest uninterrupted gameplay through here.
