Borderlands 2 will feature larger worlds with increased draw distances, according to GearBox’s Scott Kester. He also confirms that the game will not feature seamless (streaming) loading but will be load based.
Its not fully streaming, its load based. It works best for our style of games. But we have increased the draw distances, the spaces are a little larger, we can populate them more. Everything is a little dense this time around. So the world itself is larger than what was in the last game but there is a lot more options and variety in things.
There is more life and things to interact in the world so it does not feel so sparse perhaps as the first game. Its still a wasteland of sorts so its not inviting by any means.
Borderlands 2 will hit the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC later next year.
