Borderlands 2: Gearbox Planning More DLC, Current Level Cap To Be Raised

Borderlands 2 5
Borderlands 2 must have Gearbox Software smiling from ear to ear. Not only is the sequel far more successful than the original and receiving more critical acclaim, but it’s showing higher attach rates for its DLC.

In order to reward gamers who continue to pay the company with their hard-earned money, Gearbox has confirmed to IGN that it will be raising the level cap sometime in the first quarter of 2013.

That’s not all though, as Gearbox will be looking to deliver more new characters and more DLC once the first season of content is finished (Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt is the third of four DLC packs to be released).

As of now, it’s unsure whether Gearbox wants to raise the level cap past past Level 50 in the next DLC or as part of a separate download, but they’ll be doing so in such a way that insures most gamers will want to replay the game again. Not that anyone would mind really.
