People will enjoy Borderlands 2 a lot as it offers quite a similar experience to Diablo 3, Gearbox Software’s Randy Pitchford revealed.
“I’m playing as a Mage but I’m definitely going to also play as a Barbarian so I can chop dudes up with melee weapons instead of casting fireballs,” he told IGN.
“That changes the whole nature of the experience. There’s a lot of people that play Borderlands like that, as a hobby. Adding characters is more for those kinds of gamers.”
I wouldn’t say that’s a positive thing but Diablo 3 does offer an addictive experience when it comes to offering different unique classes and different experiences. Borderlandsd 1 sold 6 million units and the sequel looks to sell as much as the first game.
Here’s our Borderlands 2 preview which confirms that it’s indeed quite fun.
“Borderlands 2 really feels like it could provide a welcome injection for the franchise and even in its current state, it looks and feels like a rather polished sequel that builds upon the solid foundations of the original to create an even better experience than before,” wrote our author Jordan in his in-depth preview.
