Borderlands 4 is one of several major games officially lined up for launch in 2025, and though we’ve seen nothing of the game other than its brief announcement teaser earlier this year, it seems like that might be changing soon.

That’s as per Randy Pitchford, the boss of developer Gearbox Entertainment, who has said on Twitter that a new trailer of the highly anticipated looter shooter is in the works. “Cooking up a new Borderlands 4 trailer and it’s badass af,” he wrote. “Latest render is knocking me out.”

When we might be seeing that new trailer for the game is anyone’s guess, but it sounds like it won’t be too long before it premieres, which means we might be looking at a showing at The Game Awards next week. It’s likely that the trailer will give us our first look at gameplay, while we might also get more specific launch details.

Borderlands 4 is due out sometime in 2025 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
