Bravely Default Demo Launching in North America in January 2014

American users can check out the anticipated and acclaimed RPG before purchase.

Bravely Default, Square’s beautiful RPG coming exclusively for Nintendo 3DS, launches in North America (finally!) in February 2014, but prospective customers can get a feel for the game via a demo for the game that goes live on the eShop on January 2, 2014.

The demo will be more than just a truncated look at the game- it offers hours of content all by itself, none of which is actually available in the full game, offering a new story that nonetheless gives players a feel for the actual game’s scenario and battle systems.

Bravely Default itself launches February 7, 2014- although the selling point of the game is just how old school it really is, it also offers innovative new features, such as the Brave and Default battle systems, as well as unique features that take full use of the 3DS’s innovative capabilities, such as StreetPass.

Bravely Default will also be launching with a Collector’s Edition that will include an art book, a soundtrack CD and 34 augmented-reality cards. The Collector’s Edition will retail for $50.
