Now do keep in mind that this patch is a good thing, but I can’t help but see it through a thick lens of cynicism. There is a patch that’s coming for Call of Duty Advanced Warfare and that’s a good thing, but the patch shouldn’t be needed. A game that costs this much and is expected to sell so well should not hit shelves until it’s ready for prime time.

So what’s in it? Well. It will address the issues that arise should your Prestige reset, this includes fixes for emblems and challenges resetting. Weapon reloads counting as a speed reload under certain circumstances has been fixed.

Counter Strike hotswapping anyone? The most glaring issue, the lag and connectivity issues are included in the patch notes, though it doesn’t say fixed or improved. It just reads “Connectivity Optimizations”.

eSports rules are now available as an option in Private matches which, once again, should have been in the game since it launched. The patch will bring other minor improvements like challenges for weapon camos being tweaked etc.
