Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Will Not Have Branching Storylines

Sledgehammer is focusing all its efforts on a 'single' story.

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare (1)

Almost every game in the long running Call of Duty series had a pretty straight forward method of story telling. There were no choice or options given to the player resulting into a linear experience. Given that Call of Duty Advanced Warfare is Activision and Sledgehammer Games’ biggest title ever, will things be tweaked this time around?

Are there going to be multiple choices in the game that will lead to a  different path? “Very early on we decided that we would tell a single story and that really came out of the desire to focus all of our energy on telling one very good story, and we’re really happy with the story we have created so there is no branching storyline,” Creative director Bret Robbins said to GamingBolt.  “Everyone that plays the game will experience the same story, which I actually like. I think it’s a great story and I want everyone to enjoy it.”

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare releases on Xbox One, PC, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U this November.
