Some sort of hacking mechanics are coming with Black Ops 3 but just what they will do and allow isn't clear yet.

Call of Duty Black Ops 3

As more and more details start to leak out about Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, we start to see just what the game is going to be offering up. Yesterday, there were a couple of pieces possibly leaked including the size of the map as well as some of the storylines. What we haven’t found a whole lot out about yet is whether or not some of the features that have been so beloved in previous Black Ops games will be brought forward in this one.

One of the features that Black Ops fans are always looking for in these games is the ability to hack things. Hacking has actually been a larger part of the Call of Duty franchise from very early on. This doesn’t mean players are able to hack parts of the game and make life that much easier. What it does mean is that characters in the game are able to take over different weapons in order to turn them on the people who were first using them.

Black Hatting has also been something featured from time to time in this series. When one fan of the series specifically asked Treyarch’s David Vonderhaar whether he had previously answered the question as to whether or not hacking and black hatting would be included in Black Ops 3, he was able to reply with: “I haven’t answered that. We have big plans for “hacking” mechanics and are still working it out.”

That is as close to the horse’s mouth as you can get as to an answer on whether hacking will be in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. It also appears to be intentionally vague on whether or not Black Hat features will be included.
