2. Dynamic Maps

While this is something that really cropped up in the previous generation of FPS combat simulator games in Battlefield 3, it’s finally making an appearance in the multiplayer maps and it seems like they’re taking it a step further compared to their competition over at DICE and EA.

The multiplayer maps shown so far have building falling from the sky while people fight around them. It looks like the multiplayer gameplay for Ghosts is going to be a step forward for the Call of Duty titles. These dynamic maps are going to make the individual multiplayer games much more interesting from match to match. It’s hopefully also going to help reduce that “Arena combat” feel that the CoD titles seem to fall victim to. While it’s not necessarily a bad thing, a war zone should have a bit more chaos and unpredictability about it. Infinity Ward is definitely making the right move with dynamic maps.
