Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare got a new trailer today, featuring “Lieutenant Reyes” and a suspiciously posthuman-looking creepy bald guy. Activision and Infinity Ward have been surprisingly cagey about an official Infinite Warfare announcement despite teases like the trailer below.

You’ll not have to wait long for official confirmation, however. Infinite Warfare will almost certainly be announcement as a part of tomorrow’s Call of Duty livestream event. Earlier reports indicated that Infinite Warfare would adopt a futuristic sci-fi setting.

As Black Ops III showed us, setting the game a few decades in the future provides an easy narrative excuse to tack on all sorts of gravity-defying gameplay elements. We’re still not entirely convinced that Call of Duty could make good use of a far-future setting—this being Call of Duty, we’re talking about a much more tightly-controlled experience than Halo, for instance. However it turns out to be, we’ll keep you posted here. Stay tuned!
