New maps and a new zombie mode are incoming

We’ve known that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was going to be getting DLC sooner or later. Now we have quite a bit of information about what the DLC is going to be when it arrives in January.

It turns out that the new DLC is going to be called Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Sabotage. While this new DLC is going to be bringing some new multiplayer maps, the headliner of the content might be the new zombie mode that’s coming with it.

Like the original zombie mode included in the game, this will be a kind of throwback and will be called Rave in the Redwoods. The zombie mode is supposed to be set in the 1990s and is set to invoke horror movies from that era. Players will be spending time at an abandoned lakeside camp when the walking dead stumble into the picture.

The DLC will come with new maps which are detailed below. The new DLC is due to land on January 31, 2017 on the PlayStation 4.

  • Noir – A dark, grimy city map inspired by futuristic Brooklyn at night, Noir is a classic three-lane map set against a backdrop of a dystopian future, filled with cafes and parks surrounding a brutal downtown warzone.
  • Neon – A virtual training center designed for urban warfare, Neon is a unique, digitised battle arena where cars and other structures spawn out of thin air and enemies dissolve into hundreds of pixels when defeated. Middle lane sightlines will cater to long-range players while the outsides of the map allow for quick counter-attacks in close-quarter action.
  • Renaissance – Set in Northern Italy, Renaissance pits players against each other on the narrow streets of Venice surrounded by classic architecture and buildings that promote continuous action through the canals and neighbourhoods of this iconic city.
