Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has launched for PC and consoles and is in the hands of (presumably) millions, and while the pros and cons of the experience itself are obviously the main talking points for the community right now, some amusing tidbits related to its launch have emerged as well.
For instance, as spotted by @charlieINTEL on Twitter, it seems like physical copies of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s Xbox version have been purchased by may in Canada, where due to a printing error, the back of the cover describes the Call of Duty series as a “best-selling franchise on PlayStation”.
Given the competition between the two platforms, the error undoubtedly elicits at least a chuckle- even more so when you consider the fact that Microsoft’s proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard has made Call of Duty something of a point of contention between Xbox and PlayStation.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Also, some players who purchased the Xbox physical edition of #MWII in Canada have noticed an error on the box.
"The best selling franchise on Xbox" somehow translated in French to "PlayStation."
