Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone’s Season 4 was supposed to be in full swing by now. Originally scheduled to begin on June 3, Activision chose to delay it in light of the ongoing Black Lives Matter protests in the United States, becoming one of several companies in the industry to do so for planned upcoming events. However, it seems the season might be kicking off soon.
As per datamined files discovered by @geekypastimes over on Twitter, Season 4 will be kicking off this Wednesday, which is June 10. The files that mention the date for the end of Season 3’s Challenges recently received an update, and the ending date was changed from June 2 to June 10 (UTC).
Of course, there’s every chance that this is a temporary change, and that Activision might not have finalized those dates just yet (it’s hard to be too sure of anything right now), so it’d be better to wait for official word from the publisher or the developer before taking this as confirmation.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone are both available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Season 4 will be bringing with it Captain Price, among other things.
