EA is bringing the sequel to the breakout hit mobile game, Plants vs Zombies, to the Xbox One; for reference, Plants vs Zombies 2: Garden Warfare, was released on smart devices last year, although it found its reception significantly more muted than the original game, thanks to being infested with microtransactions that hindered actual gameplay and game design.

In any case, the Xbox One version looks pretty good, as you can see in the trailer up there; the game should be a pretty good hit for families, and add to the console’s appeal for consumers in that demographic.

Plants vs Zombies 2: Garden Warfare releases on the Xbox One on February 28, 2014. It also has an all new exclusive co-op mode specifically on the console, in addition to all the regular content that it is already getting.

Whether it holds as much appeal as a console release for regular customers remains to be seen. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more.
