During its recent Announcement Show, Paradox has announced a sequel to city-building game Cities: Skylines. Aptly titled Cities: Skylines 2, it will be coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S in 2023. It will also be making its way on to Xbox Game Pass.

While the differences between Cities: Skylines 2 and its predecessor aren’t completely known as of yet, the game’s description on its various store pages reveal that the game will be focusing on offering a living economy where players’ decision-making skills will be challenged.

Cities: Skylines 2 will also offer a number of options for players to build their cities, ranging from small, quaint neighborhoods, to bustling metropolitan cities filled with skyscrapers and commercial districts. At the very least, Cities: Skylines 2 is set to be a notable visual upgrade over the first Cities: Skylines.

While Cities: Skylines 2 has an announecment trailer, unfortunately, no actual gameplay is shown. Rather, the trailer focuses on showing off the grandiose options of city building, as well as some of the minutae like having to manage on-ground traffic.
