Civilization 6 New Video Takes An In Depth Look At The Game’s Controversial Art Style

Civilization 6 may be using some of the most advanced technologies available to PC games, but if you were to ask the average Civ fan, they would tell you the game is nothing impressive graphically- that’s because people apparently take great issue with the game’s art, which is highly stylized and cartoony. Apparently, everyone has forgotten that Civilization games always used to be cartoony before the release of Civilization 5.

In this new video for the game, however 2K Games and Firaxis take a closer look at the game’s art, explaining their reasoning behind picking this style of graphics for the new game over the more grounded look that Civilization 5 went with.

Civilization 6 is due to launch on October 23 exclusively for the PC- if this game is anything like its predecessors, you should probably get ready to lose hundreds upon hundreds of hours of your lives to the game. You can watch the video below.
