Will Lawbreakers come to console?

Lawbreakers

The Examiner recently caught up with Cliff Bleszinski of Unreal and Gears of War fame and chatted about Lawbreakers, Bleszinki’s debut project with his new studio, Boss Key Productions. Bleszinski certainly had more than a few interesting tidbits to share, particularly about the possibility of Lawbreakers, a PC-exclusive for now, making its way over to console.

Bleszinski and Boss Key are said to have great working relationships with both Sony and Microsoft. On a personal note, he said he has “a lot of respect” for Phil Spencer, the head of Microsoft’s Xbox division. However, a PS4 port of Lawbreakers seems to be more than a mere possibility. Bleszinski confirmed that Boss Key was in negotiations with Sony about the possibility of bringing Lawbreakers over to PS4. Much of the discussion currently centers on how royalties need to be allocated.

However, Bleszinki feels that there are more fundamental issues to be resolved—Lawbreakers’ fast-paced twitch-shooting action was built with a keyboard-mouse configuration in mind, after all. Whether or not Lawbreakers does arrive on console, cross-play is something that is definitely not on the cards. Do you want to see Lawbreakers on console? Let us know!
