Code Vein 2 – Mask of Idris is an expansion we’ve been eager to try out, and that teaser from a few weeks ago only heightened the anticipation.
Well, it’s finally here alongside a new launch trailer, which shows off a lot about the Forbidden World that has us curious to see how it all pans out once we get through an adventure with high stakes and rewards that are sure to match the effort it takes to procure them. There’s a lot to do, from heroes who have somehow fallen prey to whatever corruption is taking root to Bonds that can traverse time to bring light where none might otherwise exist. Of course, many new faces with their own stories and motivations to engage with.
In short, the expansion’s looking like it’s bringing a lot more of the same action to the table, which isn’t a bad thing by any measure, a sentiment we echoed back when we reviewed the base game. We can’t wait to dive into Mask of Idris and talk more about how the Forbidden World shapes the overall experience. Of course, the new Trials Remembrance mode, free for all current owners, might help you decide.
