Code Vein was not exactly something a lot of people probably had on their wish lists. A Souls-like action RPG mixed with anime art style, which also has some vampires thrown in there for good measure. The game actually ended up being somewhat of a surprise hit, and a new trailer highlights the praise the game got.

The trailer highlights very brief segments of the game’s story and a few quick paced fights before getting to the critical acclaim it received. We didn’t make the cut, but we also enjoyed the game and you can check out our review through here. It’s a great surprise of a title, so if you have any interest in the genre it’s worth checking out.

Code Vein is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. For tips on how to level up properly and get the finally ending, you can also check out our suggestions through here.
