The Blood Moon rises once again.

Code Vein, Bandai Namco’s new Dark Souls-like from the makers of God Eater, is due to launch next year for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. And whether or not the game has any appeal for the market is something that remains to be seen – Souls-likes are popular, yes, but will one with an explicit anime aesthetic manage to do that well? – for now, Bandai Namco is going all out in promoting the game.

This includes new screenshots for the game, which were just released today, and which show off the game’s dungeons, characters, combat, and more. There are actually quite a few of them- and I am sure that people who don’t necessarily get turned off by the aesthetic will find what they see hugely intriguing here.

Code Vein is due to be released for PS4, Xbox One and PC in 2018. It will be interesting to see whether or not the game manages to overcome the traditional resistance to anime aesthetics the western market often has.
