Today marks the reveal of F1 2013, the latest in the fan-favorite F1 racing series. Recently, series installment F1 Race stars was ported over to the Wii U, giving fans hope that future F1 games will be available on Nintendo’s new console. F1 historically, has been released for Play Station, X Box, PC, and Mac, but generally not for Nintendo consoles.

When asked on Twitter whether or not F1 2013 would see a Wii U release, F1 spokesman, Steve Hood, responded, “Unfortunately it’s have to be a very different game just to run on the Wii U.”

Hood’s response speaks to the often-under appreciated nuances of the three towering giants in console gaming (Xbox, Play Station, and Wii U). As Play station and Xbox seem to be in more direct competition, we often see releases across both platforms, but Nintendo seems to have it’s own fan base with unique gaming preferences and loyalty to the Nintendo style of gaming.

What other games would you like to see released across all three platforms?
