As is the norm with mostly every single major AAA release these days, Activision has announced that its upcoming Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, the first true next generation entry in the long running series of annual first person shooters, will be getting a companion smartphone app of its own that should provide for some kind of a second screen experience.

The app, which will be developed by the same people who brought us Call of Duty Elite, will be focusing on an ‘enhanced Clan Wars experience,’ with extensive clan management and content creation options.

Clan Wars itself is, of course, going to be an ongoing series of community events that Sledgehammer Games will regularly host- the first Clan War November 26 and goes through to December 1. A player’s placement in this clan war will be decided by their performance in the pre-qualifying war that will be held from November 15-November 16.

For full details of what the app will offer, head on over to the Call of Duty Community website and see for yourself.
