Crysis 3 “The Hunt is On” Trailer Contains Dangerous Levels of Awesome

Cannot. Process.

If you’ve only known about Crysis second-hand – or even played the good but still very typical Crysis 2 – we wouldn’t blame you for being apathetic to Crysis 3 and its whole “melt PCs” goal. But then there’s the new “The Hunt is On” trailer from Crytek.

Though the start is a bit cliched, as soldiers reawaken our Nano-Suit protagonist from cryo-sleep, things kick into high gear with Muse’s “Liquid State” (from their album “The 2nd Law”) rocking in the background.

To sum things up, the following things happen in this new trailer: Mid-air rocket launching, slow-mo arrow sniping, a “one against many” bad-ass stand-off, explosions, friggin’ plane killing as a single round sends an aircraft careening into a building, dog fighting, more explosions…

And really, the list just goes on. So much so that we can’t wait till the game finally releases on February 19th for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in North America and February 22nd for Europe.
