Crytek hopes to stop piracy with Crysis 3, “we’ll do what we can”

Crysis 2 was the most pirated PC game when it came out — and Crytek knows this.

Crysis 3’s senior creative director Rasmus Højengaard told PC Gamer that they hope to stop piracy with Crysis 3, and also delivered a snub to PC gamers saying that they wanted to play the game but didn’t want to pay money for it.

“I can’t say. It’s unfortunate that you don’t win any awards for most downloaded game,” he said.

“But yeah, obviously it’s something we’d like to address. Certainly people apparently really want to play our games, they just don’t wanna buy them.

“So we’ll do what we can, but whatever that’s gonna be is hard to say yet,” he added.

Actually, I wrote an editorial recently where I mentioned what was wrong with Crytek, and you can read that over here.
