Cuphead DLC Will Be Worked On By Legendary Ex-Disney Animator, Tom Bancroft

The Renaissance era Disney animator will work on the challenging platformer.

Cuphead

Cuphead was noted for two things. The first was its brutal difficulty, which made even the most seasoned platformer and run-and-gun fans sweat. The second, and in some ways its even more iconic feature, has been its art style. Inspired by older American cartoons, it really looks like nothing else out there. The game is set to have DLC coming soon, and they’re getting another, more modern, cartoon legend to help out on it.

Tom Bancroft confirmed via his Twitter he’ll be working on the DLC, The Delicious Last Course. Bancroft is an ex-Disney Animator who worked on the time period of mid-90s and early-00s that’s often called the Renaissance era of Disney animated films, which included the likes of Lion King, Pocahontas, and Mulan. It’s not clear what his role is with Cuphead exactly, but he seems excited to get into it and is getting the pencils ready to go old school.

Cuphead is available now on Xbox One, Switch, and PC, and is announced for Telsa Cars (for real), for which it’ll be releasing some time in the near future.
