dark souls 2

Dark souls 2 was featured in the latest OXM issue, and a forum user on GameSpot has spotted some interesting details on the game.

It looks like Dark Souls 2 will have a lot more in common with the original game than what we all thought initially. Features such as bonfires will be making a return, and so will armour and weapons upgrading.

The game will have a server-based online mode like Demon’s Souls had, and it’s map size will be roughly the same size as the original Dark Souls back in 2011.

Dark Souls 2 will be set in a “cove near the ocean”, and while the developers are trying to make the story more direct and much clearer than in the previous installments, they are still going to avoid telling it through cutscenes.

The game might also possibly have a full fledged tutorial mode that teaches you all the mechanics of the game.

Sounds pretty interesting to us. What do you guys think? Tell us in your comments below.
