Dark Souls 3 recently got updated to Regulation Version 1.7- but as is typically the case for most Japanese games, the patch notes are fairly vague on exactly what the changes that have been made are. As always, however, that has not stopped some fans from delving into the game themselves, trying to figure out for themselves exactly what all may have been altered.

Reddit user Zansacu has put together an in-depth list of the changes- he is essentially concerned with noting the various balance changes, as well as with confirming exactly what glitches and exploits may still be viable in the new update. It’s a fairly substantial list- it seems as though a lot has been changed behind the scenes- and it seems as though cognizant Souls players will instantly know the changes.

Maybe this is the kind of stuff that finally inspires From Software and Bandai Namco to release proper patch notes? Or maybe the notes are just another way of community engagement for them. I don’t know, I got nothing at this point.
