NO NEW ASSETS
Where improvements to the original game are concerned, however, that’s as far as it goes. It’s been confirmed officially that Dark Souls Remastered will have no new assets, but will instead will only be making use of improved and upgraded versions of assets that were used in the original release itself. Beyond that, there will be no changes to the game’s actual mechanics or gameplay either, so expect the exact same levels of difficulty and the exact same combat, for instance, that you remember from the original Dark Souls.
