Red Hook Studios’ acclaimed roguelike turn-based RPG Darkest Dungeon 2 is finally launching for PlayStation. After launching last year on PC on the back of an extended early access period, the game will be releasing for PS5 and PS4 on July 15, Red Hook Studios announced in a PlayStation Blog post. Check out the game’s PlayStation announcement trailer below.

Darkest Dungeon 2 will be available on PlayStation consoles for the same price as its PC version, which is $39.99, with pre-orders live now. Players can also purchase the Oblivion Bundle, which, on top of the base game, also includes Darkest Dungeon 2’s expansion, The Binding Blade. The bundle costs $44.99.

Darkest Dungeon 2 was rated for PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch in Brazil in March, indicating imminent announcements. Thus far, however, Red Hook Studios hasn’t given any word on when the game will be releasing for Xbox and Switch players.

Recently, Red Hook Studios also announced Kingdoms, a new standalone campaign that will be added to Darkest Dungeon 2 as a free update sometime later this year.

In our review of Darkest Dungeon 2 upon its 1.0 launch last year, we awarded it a score of 8/10, saying, “Darkest Dungeon 2 is a wholly different beast from the original, wrapping branching paths and compelling combat into a rogue-lite package. There are some hiccups and it may not appeal to all fans of the original, but it’s still a fun journey to suffer.” Read the full review through here.
