Dauntless Receives UI Enhancements Before Open Beta

Slayers need the best information to play at their best in Dauntless.

The UI is a hugely important factor in an MMO, and getting it just right for all players and play styles can be an almost impossible task that many modders end up taking upon themselves. Upcoming MMO Dauntless is making sure to put forward a good first impression, overhauling its own UI systems ahead of opening its beta to the public.

The update dropped today and includes a whole suite of new updates. Some of the biggest changes includes updating assets like the health bar, easy social features and radial menus that are more friendly to controllers, should a player choose to use them.

The team updated future considerations that have been popularly requested within their update as well. Slayers can apparently look forward to rebindable keys, cosmetic items, buff and debuff icons, quick crafting colour blindness options and more in the future. Check out the full list below:

  • Customization and Cosmetics: Get in. Get stylish. Get out. We’re working to make customizing your Slayer quick and simple.
  • Colour Blind friendly: Did you know 4.5% of the world population has some type of colour blindness? We’re working to make Dauntless more accomodating.
  • Buff and Debuff Icons: Status effects radically impact the way you Slay. We’re making their icons and effects more obvious.
  • Transmog: Expect to see more details on vanity and Evergame cosmetics in the near future. For now, know that we’re working to get Transmog in sooner rather than later!
  • Quick crafting: The quick-click potion crafting mini game will be coming to an end as we allow players to create consumable items in bulk.
  • Rebindable Keys: Whether it’s because you’re using an atypical keyboard or you just have your own ideas about what’s comfortable, we’re working to give you the ability to remap keys.
